Meet Jennifer…..

Jennifer or "Dr. Jenn" is a licensed individual, marriage and family therapist with a Doctorate in Leadership, a Masters in Social Work, and has held a CA & WA teacher and school social worker certification.  Growing up in Palm Springs, California, she has Southern California roots but raised her family in Tri-Cities, Washington, where the Columbia River runs through. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, where she met and married her "Beach Boy" Jake from Redondo Beach, California. After teaching several years, she realized she enjoyed parent/teacher conferences more than teaching subjects, so she pursued a career in counseling.  She received her Masters in Social Work from Walla Walla University, in Walla Walla, Washington (so good they had to name it twice).  In the mental health profession, she has worked in a hospital, agency, and school as a social worker/counselor.  To complement her therapy work, Jennifer received her Doctorate in Leadership from George Fox University in Oregon. Along with counseling, she does corporate coaching focused on improving community and culture in work relationships and leadership development. She is also an author and an enthusiastic presenter, offering keynotes, seminars, and workshops.

Currently, she has her own private practice with her husband, Jake, who is also a therapist in private practice and also does presenting and corporate coaching.  Together, they have developed a couples on-line curriculum, One Kingdom, presented keynotes, workshops, and facilitated groups.  Implementing a peer marriage model, they raised their two now grown children, McKenna and Dawson. They enjoy family vacations to the Oregon Coast, movie nights, singing 80's love songs, and boating. When Jennifer is not working, writing, or creating, you can find her curled up with a good book with her dog, Chloe, designing jewelry, composing songs on her guitar or piano, jogging, or skiing the Columbia River that runs through her town in Richland, Washington.   She is a lover of life, God, people, and the earth, and relishes in the beauty of the healing power of healthy relationships and developing authentic community.
